Could Trump's ‘Fiery Revenge’ Shatter Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s World?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Prepare for Potential Backlash from Donald Trump

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have embraced their life in Montecito, are reportedly preparing for possible retaliation from Donald Trump.

Trump’s victory is being celebrated across the U.S. as he was inaugurated as the 47th president on Monday, after a heated election race against Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

Having relocated to the U.S. in 2020 following their exit from the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now facing what royal commentator Tom Bower describes as a "fearful" four years ahead.

Bower discussed the situation at the Sussexes' Montecito home, suggesting that the couple is worried about the future. "This must be a day of fear," he said. "Trump has previously stated that he wouldn't 'protect' Harry if he became president."

The royal expert went on to elaborate, pointing out Trump’s criticism of Harry in the past. "Trump accused Harry of betraying the Queen, calling it 'unforgivable,' 'very disrespectful,' and responsible for 'breaking her heart,'" Bower noted.

Bower also warned of a worst-case scenario, stating: "But worse for Harry, Trump told Nigel Farage last year that if the Duke had lied on his U.S. visa application about his drug use, he could face deportation from America."

It’s also important to mention that the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, had pushed for the public release of Harry's visa documents to verify whether or not he had been truthful. However, U.S. Judge Carl Nichols ruled in September 2024 that the duke's visa application should remain private.
