Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's On-Screen Dynamic Feels Uncomfortable, Expert Says
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s recent TV appearances have sparked criticism for appearing “uncomfortable,” according to an expert.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have collaborated with Netflix on multiple projects over the past two years, but their on-screen chemistry has not gone unnoticed. Experts are suggesting that they may need to adjust their dynamics as a couple if they hope to connect better with their audience.
Victoria Coren Mitchell, the renowned host of *Only Connect*, shared her thoughts in *The Telegraph*: "Unfortunately, this means that their performances on screen inevitably come across as uncomfortable. No one has ever won a reality TV competition by pretending to be someone they’re not," she wrote, as reported by *The Express*.
“Viewers can sense the inauthenticity,” Coren Mitchell continued. “When filmed, Harry seems to feign a comfortable relationship with the camera, while Meghan gives off a more uncertain vibe. Until they find a way to authentically engage, they may struggle to find the right format for their public appearances.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, moving to California with their son, Archie. Since then, the couple has been open about their struggles with the Royal Family, particularly accusing members of racism toward their son. They later expanded their family with the birth of their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
