Adding to the controversy are resurfaced claims that Meghan declined Queen Elizabeth II’s recommendation to take Sophie as a mentor during her early days in the royal family. The late Queen reportedly viewed Sophie as the ideal guide, given her years of experience and successful integration into royal life.
