James Woods Mocks Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Fire Victims Visit: 'Enough Already!'

Recently, the self-proclaimed philanthropists, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, made their way to an LA food bank and a wildfire zone, only to be met with sharp criticism from actor James Woods and actress Justine Bateman.

As Los Angeles battles the devastating wildfires, the couple showed up, baseball caps in hand, seemingly more interested in a photo op than the surrounding chaos. The critics were quick to pounce, with actress Justine Bateman leading the charge, calling their visit a "repulsive photo op." She took to X (formerly Twitter), writing that Harry and Meghan were no better than "ambulance chasers" touring the damage. "Are they politicians now? Disaster tourists?" she added. Ouch.

But the roasting didn’t stop there. Enter James Woods, the legendary actor known for his biting wit. Having just returned to his Pacific Palisades home, which miraculously survived the fires, Woods expressed relief online. But then, he couldn't resist poking fun at Harry and Meghan's antics. Woods retweeted a post that read, "Haven’t they suffered enough?"—a sarcastic jab at both the Californians enduring the fires and the couple's apparent need for attention. His caption: "First laugh I’ve had all week."

While Harry and Meghan were busy pushing their PR agenda, real wildfire victims like Woods were grappling with life-or-death situations. Unsurprisingly, social media exploded in reaction, with comments ranging from scathing critiques to laugh-out-loud jabs. One commenter even suggested, "Megan is a malignant narcissist; she feels nothing for anyone but herself. She brought her own camera crew. Sickening. Genuine help and concern don’t need a camera crew."

As the online reaction grew, one commenter remarked, "Are they coming out with another Netflix video?" Another added, "They aren't disaster experts. They didn’t even bring an extra car for evacuation routes. They're just there for film credits. If it were my home, I’d sue their asses off."

The satire didn't stop there. The Babylon Bee, a satirical website, joined the fray with a headline: "Los Angeles Saved After Meghan Markle Arrives to Stand Around Wearing Baseball Cap." The article joked that the city of Los Angeles was saved by Meghan Markle merely standing around in her cap, with residents breathing a sigh of relief, knowing the fires would no longer touch them. The piece even went so far as to claim that Los Angeles awarded Markle the key to the city and planned to build a monument in her honor.

"Honestly, who needs firefighters when you’ve got Meghan Markle, am I right?" the article quipped.

The reality is that Harry and Meghan’s star power is fading faster than a dying campfire. What was once seen as a royal glow has now turned into royal cringe. People are growing tired of their performative gestures, and it’s becoming evident. These two may not live in LA, nor are they part of the community, and their presence at disaster zones is quickly turning into a spectacle that many find distasteful. Even locals seem fed up, as one sarcastically commented, "Why waste time with grifters on someone else’s property instead of taking care of your own residence?"
