Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Finalise Divorce, Agree on $68 Million Estate Split
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially reached a resolution in their divorce, finding common ground on the division of their lavish $68 million Beverly Hills estate. According to legal documents obtained by *People* magazine, the former couple will split the profits from the sale of their sprawling property once it finds a buyer.
The mansion, which they purchased for just over $60 million in May 2023, has been on the market for nearly six months. While the documents don’t specify how the final sale price will be divided, both Lopez and Affleck are set to receive a share of the proceeds.
The 38,000-square-foot estate is nothing short of luxurious, featuring 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a guest penthouse, a 12-car garage, and an impressive indoor sports complex complete with basketball and pickleball courts.
The couple initially listed the property off-market in June 2024 before making it publicly available the following month. By then, Lopez and Affleck were already living separately. Reports in May revealed that Affleck had moved out, and by July, he had purchased a $20 million home in Brentwood to be closer to his children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Lopez and Affleck, who famously rekindled their romance in 2021, tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022. A month later, they celebrated with a larger, star-studded wedding in Georgia. However, their marriage was short-lived, with Lopez filing for divorce on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding.
As they move forward separately, the real estate deal appears to be one of the few things they still agree on. The sale of their Beverly Hills estate marks the final chapter in their brief but highly publicised reunion, allowing both stars to close this chapter of their lives and focus on their individual paths ahead.
