Kate Middleton's Timing Raises Questions After Prince Harry’s Court Victory

Kate Middleton's Timing Raises Questions After Prince Harry’s Court Victory

Kate Middleton’s 'Very Strange' Move Suggests a Key Announcement from the Royal Family

Kate Middleton made her first public appearance since attending her first royal engagement last week, and her outing has raised eyebrows.

The Princess of Wales, who is rarely seen by the paparazzi, seemed to draw attention with her latest appearance, especially considering it happened just hours after Prince Harry celebrated a historic legal victory following a five-year battle.

Kate, who had a challenging year battling cancer, had largely stayed out of the public eye as she took time to recover. Amid this absence, rumors began to swirl, but her recent outing seemed intentionally low-key, aimed at quieting speculation.

Then, on Wednesday, news broke that Prince Harry had reached a settlement with Rupert Murdoch’s NGN, a case that many within the royal family thought would never be resolved. Just hours later, photos surfaced of Kate casually shopping for eyewear, shared by the celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi.

However, sharp-eyed social media users were quick to question whether this was just a coincidence.

“Is something about to come out about the family? This is very strange,” one Instagram user, Sharon Steed, commented under the post.

Another pointed out, “Harry and Meghan are almost exclusively papped by Backgrid and y’all claim it’s a coincidence.” In response, a user speculated, “According to some, Backgrid only shows up if they were called. I guess some might need to rethink that idea?”

The exchange hinted that the paparazzi might have been specifically called for the photos.

“She called the paps on herself because Harry got his victory in court today,” said one user, while another added, “Trying to detract from Harry’s news.”

Other users shared similar thoughts.

“What’s with these staged photos? What’s happening?” Gabriela Escolán asked, while Lauri Harner echoed, “Kate’s almost never papped, what’s up?”

One commenter even said, “Monarchy so desperate they have to call the paps.”

Some speculated that something might be about to be revealed about the royal family or that an official announcement could be on the way.

However, there were those who defended the outing, pointing out that it’s common for royal family members to shop for personal items and groceries.

CoCo Peterson offered a different perspective, noting the difference in how the UK and US media cover the royals.

“The only thing weird about this is that someone took pictures of her,” Peterson wrote. “The UK press has a ‘gentleman's agreement’ not to publish pictures like this. However, Backgrid and DeuxMoi don’t have this agreement, so you're seeing these photos. I assume whoever took these photos for Backgrid doesn’t know how the UK press generally operates with the royals, or... they just don’t care.”

It remains unclear whether the photos were staged to distract from Harry’s legal win. While Kate is understood to still have a soft spot for her estranged brother-in-law, it’s uncertain whether she’ll be reaching out to him.
