Is Meghan lying about her upcoming series With Love, Megan to stop Netflix from firing her? It sure looks like things are falling apart.
Aside from the Harry and Meghan mockumentary, everything else they’ve done has flopped. Hard. Shows like Heart of Invictus, The Me You Can’t See, and the more recent Polo didn’t even make the top 10 on Netflix’s charts in the US or the UK. So how is Meghan suddenly so confident about this cooking show? Honestly, I don’t get it. With a track record like that, I’d be worried.
A source told OK! Magazine that Meghan is sure her series is going to do well and that she’ll finally get the accolades she deserves. The source claims she can’t wait for people to stop doubting her, saying she’s always been confident in her abilities and that, despite her past setbacks with the royal family, she’s riding high now. Apparently, she knows what the audience wants, and they’re going to love it. “People always open up to her because she listens and cares,” the source claims.
who’s behind this source? Is it Meghan herself trying to spin this whole thing in her favor? Why would anyone think a cooking show is what the people want from her? It’s not like she’s some renowned chef or expert on entertaining. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
And here’s where things really get interesting—there’s speculation that Meghan might be lying about her series’ success to make Netflix keep her around. Word on the street is that Netflix is finally realizing the toxicity Meghan brings to the table. Allegedly, they regret giving her and Harry a $100 million deal because, let’s face it, the return has not been worth it.
Lady C (who’s always got some interesting takes) tweeted that Netflix is reportedly furious with Meghan for damaging her reputation even further, putting another nail in the coffin for Netflix’s hopes of a positive return on their investment. Lady C goes on to say that Meghan seems to have a knack for doing the worst possible thing in every situation, and Netflix is regretting their association with her. Apparently, they’re trying to figure out how to distance themselves from the “pestilence” that is Meghan Markle.
And that’s where I’m left wondering: Is Meghan lying about her show’s success just to try and save her career with Netflix? Could she be trying to spin this positive image of herself to stop Netflix from firing her? If Lady C is right, Netflix is not happy with Meghan right now, and things are looking pretty bleak for her.
