Meghan Markle's Former Best Friend Absent from Duchess’s New Instagram Following
Meghan Markle’s former close friend, Jessica Mulroney, seems to have distanced herself from the Duchess of Sussex, as she is noticeably absent from the follower list of Meghan's new Instagram account, @meghan. The account, which was launched on New Year's Day, has already gained 1.4 million followers.
Mulroney, a Canadian stylist and Meghan’s trusted confidante during her time in Toronto while filming *Suits*, has not commented publicly on their apparent estrangement. The two were once inseparable, sharing significant moments such as Mulroney's attendance at Meghan’s 2019 New York baby shower and her involvement in the Sussexes’ royal tour of Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and Tonga.
However, their friendship reportedly began to falter in 2020 following a controversy involving Mulroney’s dispute with blogger Sasha Exeter over “white privilege.” Despite their history, neither Meghan nor Jessica has addressed the growing distance between them.
Jessica's absence from Meghan’s recent social media posts, including those related to her Netflix lifestyle series and a tribute to her late Beagle, Guy, has raised further questions. At one point, Jessica was so close to the royal couple that her children served as page boys and a flower girl during Meghan and Harry’s 2018 wedding.
Yet, the silence surrounding their current relationship has led many to speculate about the status of their friendship today.
