Meghan Markle's Netflix Show Delayed Due to LA Wildfire Crisis

Meghan Markle's Netflix show, *With Love, Meghan*, which was initially scheduled to premiere on January 15, will now be postponed for several months due to the ongoing wildfire crisis in Los Angeles.

The eight-part series was set to feature the Duchess of Sussex offering cooking and gardening tips, joined by various celebrity guests. However, the tragic wildfires that have already claimed 16 lives and affected almost 14,000 acres of land have led to the decision to delay the release.

The devastating fires, which US President Joe Biden described as resembling "a war zone," have caused widespread destruction. In light of these circumstances, UK brand and culture expert Nick Ede discussed the situation with *The Mail*, explaining that Netflix executives would need to make “big decisions” regarding the release date. He speculated that given the series' heavy focus on California life, particularly Los Angeles and Montecito, it would likely be pulled from the current schedule and pushed back by several months.

Ede also noted that delaying the show would be a "positive move" for both Meghan and Netflix, as airing it during such a sensitive and tragic time would risk appearing "insensitive and tone deaf." He praised the couple for their response to the crisis, highlighting their decision to open the doors of their £23 million Montecito estate to evacuees. In addition, Harry and Meghan have been actively assisting those affected, serving meals and engaging with displaced families and elderly individuals.

This thoughtful response from the Sussexes reflects their concern for the local community amidst the catastrophic situation.
