A source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared that, while the couple is "upset" about the latest financial difficulties and setbacks in their fundraising efforts, they remain committed to continuing their philanthropic work. The source added, "Despite these concerns, Harry and Meghan have no intention of slowing down their charitable endeavors."
However, the couple has been confronted with a stark financial disparity between their charitable foundation and that of Prince William, as new data highlights a significant gap in fundraising achievements between the royal brothers.
Prince William’s environmental initiative, *The Earthshot Prize*, reported an impressive total income of £23.5 million in its most recent annual report. In contrast, the Sussexes' Archewell Foundation raised just £4.67 million from all sources during the same period.
The difference in fundraising becomes even more notable when considering the growth of William’s foundation. Donations for *The Earthshot Prize* increased by 68%, with £8.6 million of the £22.5 million raised in the previous year coming from a one-time contribution from *The Royal Foundation*.
Reports suggest that a significant part of William's fundraising success comes from *The American Friends of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales*, which saw its contributions more than double, rising from £2.7 million to £6.1 million in the past year.
