This isn’t the first time *Vanity Fair* has sparked debate surrounding the couple. Back in 2017, the magazine ran a cover story on Meghan, then an actress starring in *Suits*, which reportedly caused unease within royal circles.
The feature, headlined *She’s Just Wild About Harry*, focused on Meghan's budding relationship with Prince Harry. In the interview, Meghan publicly confirmed their romance, saying, “We’re in love.”
