Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Their First Major Loss of 2025

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Major Setback Amid Legal Victory Celebrations

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have experienced a significant blow just as they were celebrating a major legal win for the Duke. The couple's much-publicized multi-million-pound book deal with Penguin Random House appears to have quietly fallen apart.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield revealed on Talk TV that the deal, which was signed by the couple in 2021, has seemingly dissipated due to the former working royals' failure to deliver any content.

Schofield shared, "Page Six is reporting that Harry and Meghan's $20 million deal with Penguin Random House, which they signed in 2021, seems to have quietly dissipated, and that is the story..."

She also mentioned that sources at *Vanity Fair* clarified that Meghan's team had pitched a potential book idea based on the possibility of a divorce, although this was framed as a speculative inquiry about its value.

Kinsey further explained that Penguin Random House had "higher expectations" of Harry and Meghan, which they seemingly did not meet. She noted, "Vanity Fair reported how these two, their work ethic is incredibly questionable, and their collaboration skills are not so strong. Is that potentially why Penguin Random House no longer has a deal with them?"

It's worth mentioning that while the deal appears to have dissolved, Prince Harry did release his memoir, *Spare*, published by Penguin Random House in 2023.
