Royal Expert Accuses Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of Hypocrisy Over Media Tactics
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come under fire for alleged hypocrisy regarding their media strategies, five years after stepping down as senior working royals in 2020.
Royal commentator Rebecca English has spoken out, claiming the couple’s actions contradict their public desire for transparency and openness. According to *The Express*, English suggested that Harry and Meghan have been selective in their media outreach, favoring outlets that are sympathetic to their cause. She also pointed to an alleged leak of details about Harry's ongoing court case to a newspaper that is seen as "friendly" to the couple.
Speaking on *Palace Confidential*, English expressed that Harry and Meghan had previously portrayed themselves as individuals committed to sharing information “on the record” and maintaining openness.
"I would say that is exactly what they have not done," she remarked. "They have gone to, or had people around them, briefing media outlets they believe will be favorable, even helping with their biographies."
English also referred to the alleged leak regarding Harry’s court case, which she claimed was sent to a publication that is seen as “friendly” toward the couple.
She concluded by stating, "There's quite a bit of hypocrisy involved."
