The former *Suits* actress, who kicked off 2025 by returning to social media with her own Instagram handle, is said to have been "absolutely against" an offer Harry made last year to help the royal family during a difficult moment.
The offer came shortly after King Charles publicly revealed his cancer diagnosis in February. The monarch reportedly shared this heartbreaking news privately with his family, including Prince Harry, before the details became public.
Despite the strained relationship between Harry and the royal family—due to their ongoing claims about senior royals—Harry was reportedly willing to step back into a temporary royal role to support his father during this crisis. However, it appears his offer was not only rejected by the Palace but also faced opposition from Meghan, who was hesitant to return to the royal fold.
Royal expert Tom Quinn told *The Mirror* that Harry likely made the offer "knowing it would be rejected," as he was fully aware of the unlikelihood of being allowed to resume his royal duties. Quinn added, "Harry knows he will never be allowed to be a permanent part-time working royal, staying six months in the States and six months in the UK."
Quinn further explained, "The family no longer trusts him, and Meghan is absolutely against it. There is too much bad blood now for it to even be a remote possibility."
