Tom Cruise is alive and well, his representative said on Thursday, denying Internet reports that Cruise had died after a fall in New Zealand.
"This is completely false. Tom is not in New Zealand and has not been there recently. This is inaccurate and unreliable Internet rubbish," Cruise's publicist Jeff Raymond told Reuters.
Rumours circulated online on Thursday that the "Top Gun" and "Mission: Impossible" star had died after falling from the Kauri Cliffs.
A similar erroneous report two years ago claimed that actor Tom Hanks had died in the same place.
Cruise was photographed this week in New York with his wife, actress Katie Holmes, and daughter Suri. Holmes is part of the cast of the play "All My Sons", which has its official opening on Thursday night.
