Warped Perspective’: Meghan Markle’s Struggles with Trauma Revealed

Meghan Markle’s Trauma Response Revealed in Shocking Vanity Fair Exposé

Meghan Markle’s trauma response has been laid bare in a recent Vanity Fair cover story, where writer Anna Peele delves into the Sussexes' time with Spotify and the possible impact of Meghan's past experiences on her behavior.

The piece, which uncovers significant details about Meghan’s relationships with her employees and her interactions with those working at Spotify, explores how her past may have shaped her actions.

Peele writes, "It’s hard to imagine how someone who seems so earnestly intent on being kind and engaging in world-improving activities could wind up engaging in revanchism with people so below her in status."

A possible explanation, according to the article, is an episode from Meghan's podcast, *Archetypes*, where she admitted to being a "shy" and "loner" student who struggled with feelings of isolation, including "never having anyone to sit with at lunch."

For Peele, this revelation paints Meghan as a well-intentioned person trying to do good despite—and sometimes because of—unkind experiences from others.

One notable moment the writer points out is when a former employee, who reportedly had a "terrible experience" working with Meghan, was given a thank-you note and even a gift afterward.

Peele reflects on the connection between Meghan’s past and present, suggesting that "a sense of victimhood and righteousness" might continue to live within someone who had been treated so poorly by the press and her husband’s family.

The writer further explores the idea that Meghan might have viewed certain individuals, such as members of the media or even her estranged father and half-sister, as enemies or interlopers. "Might they have seemed more powerful than her in some way, despite her immense fame and wealth?" she asks.

In her conclusion, Peele suggests that Meghan may have felt justified in taking action against those who stood in the way of her "good work," posing the question: "Then whatever happened to them, well… they shouldn’t have gotten between Meghan and her good work."

"After all, as Harry knows, trauma can warp your perspective," she writes, closing the piece.
