Altadena Girls Founder Uncovers Meghan Markle’s Staged Hugs

Altadena Girls Founder Uncovers Meghan Markle’s Staged Hugs

It seems like Meghan Markle just can’t help herself. Another day, another desperate attempt to claw her way back into the public’s good graces. This time, she’s using a 14-year-old girl as her mouthpiece. Yes, you read that right. Avery Culver, the young founder of Altadena Girl, has suddenly emerged with an over-the-top praise fest for Meghan, conveniently timed to counter critics labeling the Sussexes as “disaster tourists.” How predictable.

Marie Claire, the Sussexes’ go-to PR safe space, published an article featuring Culver gushing about Meghan’s “incredible kindness” and how she miraculously transformed a grassroots relief effort into a full-fledged nonprofit. Because nothing screams authenticity like a teenager being paraded as a PR prop, right?

According to the article, Meghan—ever the selfless philanthropist—donated bags of clothing from her own closet and even provided “stylist training” to help girls pick flattering outfits. Pardon me while I stifle a laugh. Is the stylist training in the room with us? This is the same Meghan who still struggles to find the right shade of bronzer, yet we’re supposed to believe she’s now the Fairy Godmother of fashion for traumatized teens. Sure, Jan.

Then there’s the pièce de résistance: some girls were reportedly so overwhelmed by Meghan’s presence that they broke down in tears. Were they crying because they lost everything in the wildfires, or were they simply overcome by the “divine presence” of Meghan Markle? Knowing her, she’d probably prefer the latter. The delusion is strong with this one.

Meghan’s stepfather, Matt Chateau, chimed in to say that Archewell helped secure a building for Altadena Girl. Wonderful. Yet, somehow, the actual victims of the wildfires are reduced to a mere footnote in Meghan’s latest self-glorification tour. But hey, at least it’s less obvious than her camera-ready appearance in Uvalde, complete with a smug expression and perfectly curated outfit.

The timing of this article is almost too perfect to be coincidental. Just days after Princess Catherine made headlines for her heartwarming moment with a little girl on World Cancer Day, this conveniently crafted piece pops up. It’s almost as if Meghan saw Catherine’s positive press and went into full damage control mode. The Sussex PR machine simply can’t stand the Princess of Wales being adored, can they?

And let’s not ignore the glaring inauthenticity of the article. A 14-year-old girl describing Meghan as “so incredibly kind”? Really? No average American teenager talks like that. This has Meghan’s fingerprints all over it—a classic, heavy-handed PR move. Force an innocent young girl to sing her praises, and voilà, instant deflection from criticism. It’s laughably predictable.

This isn’t the first time the Sussexes have used children as pawns in their PR games. Remember when Meghan made a spectacle of Archie’s birthday during King Charles’s coronation? Or her conveniently timed “compassion visit” to Uvalde? Now, they’ve roped in a teenage founder to act as Meghan’s human shield against backlash.

Let’s be real: 99% of Altadena teens wouldn’t recognize Meghan Markle if she walked past them at Target. But sure, let’s pretend she’s some beloved LA icon. What’s even funnier is the video evidence of Meghan attempting her signature “compassionate hug” with Culver, only for the teen to physically step back. Awkward. Of course, you won’t see that clip in Marie Claire.

At the end of the day, true philanthropists don’t need press coverage. They quietly get on with their work—no fuss, no cameras, no staged sob stories. The Sussexes, on the other hand, can’t seem to breathe without ensuring a camera is there to capture it.

It’s time to call this what it is: yet another desperate attempt by Meghan Markle to rewrite her narrative. But no amount of PR spin can hide the fact that her actions often feel more self-serving than sincere.
