Blake Lively has doubled down on her allegations against It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni, claiming in an amended complaint filed Tuesday that she confided in a mutual friend about his "creepy" behavior on set. The Gossip Girl alum, 37, alleges that Baldoni and co-producer Jamey Heath created an uncomfortable work environment, prompting her to report their "inappropriate behavior" to Sony executives.
According to the complaint, Lively texted an unnamed friend on May 24, 2023, expressing her discomfort with Baldoni and Heath. She reportedly wrote, “I was gonna invite you to set tomorrow. These people. Whoa . . . It’s like HR nuts today. The both of them.” Lively then allegedly told her friend that she went home and “cried” after work, describing Baldoni and Heath as “creeps.”
In the text, Lively reportedly vented, “Like keep your hormones to yourselves. This is not mine. I don’t want it.” She also referenced a video Heath showed of his wife giving birth naked, which Lively initially thought was porn. “I don’t want you [sic] gaze or words or tongue or videos of your naked wife,” she allegedly wrote, concluding with, “It’s shocking. Clowns.”
Lively’s complaints were reportedly escalated to Baldoni, Heath, and Sony executive Ange Gianetti on May 26, 2023.
Page Six reached out to Baldoni’s representatives for comment on the alleged text exchange but did not receive an immediate response. However, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, issued a statement earlier on Wednesday, dismissing Lively’s claims as “manipulated and cherry-picked.”
Freedman stated, “Our clients have been transparent in providing receipts, real-time documents, and video showing a completely different story than what has been manipulated and cherry-picked for the media.” He added that Lively’s amended complaint is filled with “unsubstantial hearsay” and accused her of lacking actual evidence.
Freedman concluded, “Since documents do not lie and people do, the upcoming depositions of those who initially supported Ms. Lively’s false claims and those who are witnesses to her own behavior will be enlightening. What is truly uncomfortable here is Ms. Lively’s lack of actual evidence.”
Lively first made her allegations public in December 2023, filing a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department. She accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign to “destroy” her reputation. Among the shocking claims was an allegation that Baldoni once asked Lively if she and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, “climax simultaneously” while discussing a potential sex scene between their characters in It Ends With Us.
The complaint states that Lively found the question “invasive and refused to discuss.”
Baldoni has denied all allegations and is countersuing Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist for extortion and defamation, seeking $400 million in damages. Lively’s legal team has dismissed Baldoni’s lawsuit as “another chapter in the abuser playbook.”
The legal battle is ongoing, with a potential trial date set for March 2026. Both parties have declined mediation, agreeing that a settlement would be “premature” at this stage.
As the case unfolds, the public is left to weigh the conflicting narratives. Lively’s allegations paint a picture of a toxic work environment, while Baldoni’s legal team insists the claims are baseless and part of a smear campaign.
