Frosty Reception: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Booed at Canucks Game – Unwelcome in Canada

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Vancouver Canucks Game Appearance Falls Flat with Hockey Fans

Well, folks, they tried—they really did. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thought they could waltz into a Vancouver Canucks game, flash a few forced smiles, and win over the crowd. Unfortunately for them, Canadian hockey fans aren’t easily swayed by fairy tales—especially ones starring a royal who stepped away from his duties and his Hollywood wife.

The couple made a surprise appearance at the NHL game between the Vancouver Canucks and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Instead of the warm reception they might have anticipated, they were met with a loud and unmistakable message: “Get lost!” Or perhaps something a bit more colorful. If it wasn’t clear before, it’s crystal now—nobody wanted them there.

Let’s talk about Harry for a moment. Poor Harry. His face said everything words couldn’t. As Meghan clung to him like a barnacle, flashing her signature “look-at-me-I’m-so-happy” grin, Harry looked like he’d just remembered he could have been at home, feet up, watching the game in peace. Instead, there he was, paraded around like a royal showpiece while Meghan made sure every moment was captured on camera. At this point, he’s practically a human handbag. Every photo told the same story: Meghan, beaming with enthusiasm (or acting, depending on who you ask), while Harry’s expression screamed, “Send help!”

When their faces appeared on the Jumbotron, the crowd’s reaction was telling. Silence. Then booing. Ouch. Nothing says “unwanted” like a stadium full of hockey fans making it abundantly clear you should have stayed home.

And let’s not forget the awkward moments. Why does Meghan hold onto Harry like he’s a flight risk? Oh, wait—because he *is*. At this point, it’s less of a loving gesture and more of a hostage situation. Her grip was so tight, it’s a miracle his arm is still attached. She rested her head on his shoulder like a teenager at prom—adorable if they were high schoolers, but for a couple married for six years, this level of over-the-top PDA screams damage control. Someone’s been reading those divorce rumors, and she’s not having it.

Meanwhile, hockey fans weren’t impressed. Canadians are known for their politeness, but that courtesy evaporated the moment Meghan’s face appeared on the big screen. Did they come to watch hockey or endure another PR stunt? Judging by the reaction, definitely the hockey.

Of course, Harry and Meghan were technically in Canada for the Invictus Games 2025 event—a cause Harry once seemed deeply passionate about. But lately, everything the Sussexes do feels more like a Meghan-centric publicity stunt. Did they bring Invictus athletes to the game? Nope. Did they make the moment about themselves? Of course. Meghan has been trying to rebrand herself yet again, and what better way than hijacking a hockey game for an impromptu PR moment?

Canadians, much like the British, have had enough. Whether it’s the never-ending self-promotion, the fake smiles, or the desperation to stay relevant, nobody is buying it. If the Sussexes thought they could charm their way into the hearts of Canadian hockey fans, they miscalculated—badly.

Harry and Meghan’s entire brand is built on being victims who left the royal family to find happiness. Yet, ironically, they’ve never looked more miserable. Harry, once known for his easygoing and fun-loving nature, now just looks trapped—dragged from event to event with that same vacant stare.

Final score? Canucks fans: 1. Harry and Meghan’s public image: 0. The Sussexes may have survived the night, but their Canadian approval rating? Absolutely shattered.
