Princess Anne Opens Up About the Challenges of Being a Modern Royal
Princess Anne has shared her thoughts on the difficulties of being a Royal in today’s world.
In the documentary *Anne: The Princess Royal at 70*, the Princess Royal discussed how the rise of social media has added extra pressure on the Royal family.
She explained, "With online technology... being in touch is one thing, but it's not quite the same. The ability to meet people, that's what makes the difference. I know what Twitter is, but I wouldn't go anywhere near it if you paid me, frankly. But that's a slightly different issue."
Princess Anne also addressed the challenges faced by younger members of the Royal family, such as Prince William and Kate Middleton. She remarked, "The pressure that is applied to the younger members of the family is always worse. That's what the media is interested in. That's hard sometimes to deal with. But there was no social media in my day, and it's probably made it more difficult."
Her comments come just days after Kate Middleton announced that she is in remission after undergoing preventative chemotherapy for cancer.
