Kate Middleton Frustrated by Focus on Her Fashion Choices
Kate Middleton has reportedly expressed frustration over the constant scrutiny of her wardrobe.
The Princess of Wales, who married Prince William in 2011, was said to be irritated by the media and public's fixation on her fashion sense rather than her royal duties.
"There is an absolute feeling that it [the public work] is not about what the princess is wearing," a palace source revealed to *The Times*.
"While there will always be an appreciation from some of the public for what the princess is wearing—and she understands that—do we need to be officially highlighting it all the time? No. The style is there, but it's about the substance."
Kate found it “enormously difficult” to see her clothing choices overshadowing the work she was passionate about.
A source added, "[She] was going out, doing the work she was deeply interested in and that was hugely important to her, but people just focused on what she was wearing."
