Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Another Major Setback
King Charles is reportedly in talks with a competing streaming platform as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seemingly fall short of Netflix’s expectations.
The monarch is set to feature in a one-off documentary that will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
According to *The Mirror UK*, filming for King Charles’s full-length Amazon special began earlier this month at Dumfries House, a breathtaking 2,000-acre estate in Scotland.
The documentary’s mission is to “show, not tell,” aiming to highlight how people, places, and even the planet can be transformed.
*The Times* reports that the program will showcase King Charles’s longstanding belief in the deep connection between nature, humanity, and the built environment.
This concept was first introduced in his 2010 book, *Harmony: A New Way of Looking At Our World*.
A Palace insider told the outlet: “The King is greatly looking forward to seeing how the Harmony concept can be communicated to a new and international audience, using some of the best creative talents in TV.”
They continued: “It’s astonishing, really, what has been put into practice since the original book was published 15 years ago, and how many of those pioneering ideas have been adopted in different ways.
“This is a chance to ‘show, not tell’ how they can transform people, places, and ultimately the planet. I think many will be genuinely amazed at the scale, scope, and vision of it all, with Dumfries House continuing to serve as the ‘living laboratory’.”
Before Amazon secured the project, several other streaming platforms were reportedly approached. The documentary is expected to be released either early next year or by the end of 2025.
Interestingly, the announcement of this project comes shortly after Meghan Markle revealed plans for a new Netflix cooking show, sparking speculation about a brewing rivalry with Amazon.
Amazon already holds a multi-million dollar deal with Meghan and Prince Harry.
