Netflix Blocks Meghan Markle’s Product Launch in Texas & Philadelphia – Here’s Why

Netflix Blocks Meghan Markle’s Product Launch in Texas & Philadelphia – Here’s Why

Just when you thought Megan Markle’s entrepreneurial ambitions couldn’t get any more unconventional, here we are again. Reports have surfaced that her newly rebranded "American Riviera Orchard" products, which were rumored to be featured in Netflix pop-up shops in Texas and Philadelphia, have been shut down, rejected, and denied. According to *The Telegraph*, Markle’s latest venture involves selling dried biscuit and crêpe mixes, with trademark filings also including cookie mixes, edible dried flowers, candy sprinkles, and even cocktail mixes. Essentially, Megan is throwing everything but the kitchen sink into the mix, hoping something—anything—sticks.

But let’s talk about the Netflix partnership, shall we? You know, the one Megan dramatically announced in an Instagram video, oozing excitement about her new business and its supposed ties to the streaming giant. Well, Netflix quickly stepped in to clarify: nope, not happening. Reports of her products being sold in Netflix’s pop-up shops weren’t just exaggerated—they were completely fabricated.

It appears Megan was attempting to strong-arm Netflix into acknowledging a partnership that, by all accounts, doesn’t exist. She hyped up the connection, perhaps hoping the mere suggestion of Netflix’s involvement would force them to comply. But here’s the kicker: Netflix wasn’t playing along. Instead, they reportedly had to call up her agents at WME with a resounding “WTF.” And that, ladies and gentlemen, seems to have been the last straw for her agency, which is now distancing itself faster than Prince Harry exiting a royal engagement.

The reality is this: there’s no branding partnership, no signed deal, and certainly no Netflix pop-up shop shelf space reserved for Megan’s cookie mixes. Maybe she tried to pitch it, or maybe she hoped that if she spoke it into existence, it would magically materialize. After all, she does love that whole manifesting thing.

This isn’t the first time Megan has employed the “fake it till you make it” strategy. Remember when she supposedly had a deal with Dior? Yeah, they shut that down real quick. Or her rumored exclusive deal with Audible? Also non-existent. Megan has a track record of announcing partnerships that don’t actually exist, as if simply stating them makes them real.

Netflix, for its part, seems to be keeping quiet until their contract with her runs out. They didn’t even mention Megan’s upcoming show in their list of new releases—a clear sign they’re washing their hands of this whole situation.

Let’s take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Megan has gone from royal engagements, international diplomacy, and mingling with world leaders to trying to sell pancake mix out of a non-existent Netflix store. It’s a spectacular nosedive, to say the least. Her dream of becoming the next lifestyle brand queen seems to be crumbling faster than a stale biscuit.

Netflix, on the other hand, appears content to let the clock run out on their contract with her, all while subtly making it clear they have zero interest in her side hustles.

So, what’s next for Megan Markle? Will she pivot to a wellness brand, a spiritual retreat, or a line of signature scented candles infused with the essence of “American Riviera Orchard” desperation? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure: Netflix wants no part of it.

As for her rebranded venture? “American Riviera Orchard” might as well be called “As Never.”
