Prince Harry Makes Bombshell Decision to Protect Meghan Markle, Archie, and Lilibet
Prince Harry has reportedly expressed serious concerns about the safety of his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, due to growing security risks.
Paul Burrell, Princess Diana's former butler, weighed in on the matter, pointing out the constant threats members of the royal family face. He remarked, "Being a member of the royal family is a threat." Burrell referenced a specific example from 1994, when an assassination attempt was made on Prince Charles during a trip to Australia, highlighting the very real dangers royals are subjected to.
Burrell added, "The threat is huge. There was an assassination attempt on the then Prince Charles in 1994 in Australia, which just highlights the risk." He believes that Prince Harry is particularly concerned about the potential dangers to Meghan and the children, stating, "I think Harry is more worried about his wife and his kids and the risk of kidnapping plots, to be honest. And also, the more he does in the public eye as a celebrity, the more he could become a target."
Harry has been praised for his decision to take extra precautions to protect his family, with Burrell emphasizing the importance of security within the royal household. "Security is a big part of the royal household. They offer security detail the minute they become engaged to a member of the Royal Family, and I witnessed that when Catherine became engaged," Burrell explained.
This revelation comes as Prince Harry is currently fighting a legal battle to reinstate security protection for his children in the UK. Harry is appealing a High Court ruling that upheld the Home Office's decision to reduce his security after stepping down from royal duties in 2020.
In an interview with *Techopedia*, Harrold echoed Burrell's sentiments, adding, “People in the armed forces and the police have individual threats due to the nature of what they do, but being a member of the royal family is also a threat.”
This ongoing legal fight highlights Harry’s determination to ensure his children's safety and give them the opportunity to create lasting memories in England, despite the challenges they face.
