Meghan Markle Accused of Copying Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘Relatable’ Persona

Meghan Markle’s Latest Post Sparks Speculation of Subtle Shade at Gwyneth Paltrow

Meghan Markle appears to be proving that she can be just as relatable as Gwyneth Paltrow—or at least that’s what some fans think.

On March 23, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared a cozy Sunday morning moment with her close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen in a video clip that quickly caught attention.

In the footage, Kelly prepared a yogurt-topped banana split, while Meghan stood behind the camera offering praise. "When one of your besties reinvents a banana split for breakfast," she captioned the post, adding a touch of admiration for her friend’s culinary creativity.

While Meghan’s post seemed innocent enough, the timing raised eyebrows among fans. It came shortly after Gwyneth Paltrow, 51, shared her own casual breakfast video, showing herself cooking in pajamas with zero glam or effort.

This led to immediate comparisons between the two women, with some pointing out the stark contrast between Paltrow’s effortless authenticity and Meghan’s seemingly curated aesthetic.

Online users wasted no time sharing their thoughts. Some praised Paltrow for keeping things genuine, with one fan writing:

"No fake house, fake kitchen, fake hair extensions, fake friends… just your beautiful true self."

Others weren’t convinced by Meghan’s video, speculating that it was a subtle response to Paltrow.

"Omg! Meghan & Kelly try to throw shade back at Gwyneth Paltrow! This is a game they are going to lose," one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote.

Another added, “Why is Meghan in pajamas while her friend is fully dressed? Why are they prepping a single banana for two people and standing to eat it?”

Some skeptics also pointed out that Meghan’s post was filmed in a rented farmhouse, believed to be the set of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan—rather than in the kitchen of her and Prince Harry’s actual Montecito home.

With the internet buzzing over the breakfast showdown, the debate remains: Was Meghan’s post just a harmless morning moment, or was it a subtle dig at Gwyneth Paltrow’s authenticity?
