Meghan Markle’s Early Jobs Prepared Her for Her New Netflix Series, With Love, Meghan
Before Meghan Markle became the Duchess of Sussex—or even made a name for herself in Hollywood—she was gaining experience in a much different field: food service.
In her new Netflix series, *With Love, Meghan*, the 43-year-old shares an unexpected glimpse into her teenage years, revealing that two of her very first jobs involved sweet treats.
“I once worked at a donut shop called Little Orbit Donuts,” Meghan recalled in episode three while making homemade donuts in her kitchen.
But that wasn’t her only food-related job. Later in the series, she shared another nostalgic memory from her younger years. “My first job was actually at Humphrey Yogart,” she said in episode five, as she prepared a vanilla ice cream dish using strawberry preserves she had picked with her daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Adding to the sentimental moment, Meghan revealed that her grandmother had also worked at an ice cream shop, making the experience even more meaningful for her.
While the Duchess of Sussex has since moved far beyond her early food service days, she still enjoys spending time in the kitchen. Although she admitted, “I’m not a chef,” she also shared that she feels “comfortable in the kitchen” and loves cooking at home.
During the series, Meghan also connected with renowned chef Roy Choi, jokingly saying she was “going to wing it” as they prepared his signature chicken wings together.
But *With Love, Meghan* isn’t just about food—it showcases her passion for entertaining, gardening, and even beekeeping.
Reflecting on her journey, Meghan expressed her excitement for the series, saying, “I’ve always been curious. Sharing all those discoveries and everything I love with the people I love—it brings me so much joy.”
