Meghan Markle declared that 2025 would be her year, making a grand statement by running along the beach and writing "2025" in the sand. But just as quickly as she made that bold proclamation, she seems to be everywhere at once—almost like a media whirlwind that refuses to slow down.
Only weeks after the rocky launch of her Netflix cooking show With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex has unveiled yet another project: a new podcast titled Confessions of a Female Founder, produced in collaboration with Lemonada Media.
Even before its official release, Meghan's podcast is already facing backlash, with accusations of copying concepts and names. Several existing podcasts and YouTube channels feature strikingly similar titles, including Confessions of a Female CEO, raising eyebrows among critics. But in reality, this might not even be Meghan’s biggest challenge.
Meghan announced her podcast via Instagram, stating, “I am so excited to share something I’ve been working on: Confessions of a Female Founder, my new podcast with Lemonada Media. I’ve been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities and scaled small ideas into massively successful businesses.”
She added that these women will be sharing their “tips, tricks, and tumbles” while allowing her to “pick their brains” as she builds her own business.
While the idea of a podcast focused on female entrepreneurship may seem promising, critics argue that Meghan’s constant rebranding makes it difficult to take her seriously. Whether she’s "Meghan Markle," "The Duchess of Sussex," or simply "Meghan," her attempts at reinvention often seem more about optics than substance.
One of the biggest questions surrounding the podcast is who Meghan will invite as guests. Royal commentator Neil Sean speculates that Claire Waight Keller, the designer of her wedding dress, might make an appearance. Other potential guests could include beauty entrepreneurs like Jamie Kern Lima and Victoria Jackson, or even close friends like Serena Williams.
However, it’s worth noting that despite being close friends with Jamie Kern Lima, Meghan has never appeared on her podcast, The Jamie Kern Lima Show, which has featured major guests like Oprah Winfrey. Could this be a sign that not all of Meghan’s high-profile friends are eager to associate with her latest project?
While launching multiple projects might seem like a power move, Meghan’s biggest issue may not be the success or failure of individual ventures—it’s overexposure.
Since the beginning of 2025, she has:
Made a grand return to Instagram, positioning herself as an influencer.
Declared With Love, Meghan as a fresh start—only for it to struggle to gain traction.
Attended public events, often facing criticism for her appearances.
Announced a new business brand, American Riviera Orchard, which is already experiencing setbacks.
And now, she’s launching a podcast.
This relentless media presence is causing what some call “Meghan Markle fatigue.”
According to celebrity industry experts, overexposure happens when a public figure is seen so frequently that their presence becomes exhausting rather than exciting. The result? A decline in credibility, public interest, and ultimately, brand value.
Meghan’s rapid-fire approach—announcing multiple projects back-to-back—could be working against her. By not allowing each venture time to build momentum, she risks making everything she does feel fleeting and forgettable.
With the podcast set to debut on April 8th, only time will tell whether Confessions of a Female Founder will be a success or another short-lived venture. But given her track record, some wonder if Meghan is more focused on constant reinvention than creating something that truly lasts.
