Meghan Markle has come under fire for what some are calling an "unusual move" during Prince Harry’s recent polo match.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a high-profile charity polo event in Miami, Florida, where they were seen enjoying a glamorous weekend together. However, an awkward moment caught fans’ attention when Meghan appeared to direct a woman away from standing next to Harry during the trophy presentation.
Royal Expert Claims Meghan Stole the Spotlight
Royal author Angela Levin weighed in on the incident, claiming that Meghan’s actions were an attempt to keep the attention on herself rather than on the event.
Speaking to GBN America, Levin remarked:
"She is a very difficult person, and we saw just how rude she was during Harry’s polo match."
She elaborated further, explaining:
"A very elegant woman in a beautiful white dress moved to stand next to Harry during the ceremony. But Meghan, who was holding the award, made it clear that she didn’t want the woman there. She kept pointing assertively until the woman, looking quite taken aback, eventually moved. She even had to duck under the trophy to reposition herself next to Meghan instead."
Meghan’s Behavior Sparks Debate
Levin pointed out that the woman in question was actually the chair of the charity that Prince Harry has supported for years, making Meghan’s actions even more puzzling.
"I can’t imagine why someone would behave like that in public," Levin continued. "It was an unnecessary scene, especially when Meghan has no connection to polo or the charity. And yet, she insisted on holding up the trophy, as if she needed to be at the center of attention."
Despite the controversy, Meghan and Harry were later seen sharing a celebratory kiss after the Duke’s team secured a 3-1 victory, with Harry himself scoring the opening goal.
The couple was also spotted earlier in the day walking hand-in-hand, smiling for the cameras. The match was reportedly filmed by Netflix as part of Harry’s upcoming documentary series.
