Prince Harry Faces Fresh Heartbreak as King Charles Distances Himself Further
Prince Harry’s ties to the royal family appear to be fading fast, with the Duke of Sussex reportedly left heartbroken by yet another blow from his father, King Charles.
The King, who was diagnosed with cancer last year, was recently hospitalized due to complications from his treatment. Unlike when he was personally informed about his father’s diagnosis, Harry allegedly found out about the hospitalization through news reports—just like the general public.
With his connections to the monarchy already strained, this latest incident further underscores the growing distance between Harry and his royal relatives.
For years, Harry shared a close bond with his cousin, Princess Eugenie. The Sussexes even reportedly extended a Christmas invitation to her family and were rumored to have purchased a home near her in Portugal.
However, their friendship may have taken a turn after Eugenie was spotted alongside one of Harry and Meghan’s most outspoken critics, Piers Morgan.
“A dim view was taken of this, as Piers has clashed with Meghan and Harry in the past,” a source told The Sun. “Eugenie has supported Harry and Meghan for years and was there at the beginning of their relationship—but things have now soured.”
Another insider revealed that Harry deeply misses his old friends and the time he spent in the UK. However, with most of those connections severed, the Duke now finds himself primarily socializing with “Meghan’s friends’ husbands.”
Last year, Harry was granted a brief 30-minute meeting with his father at Clarence House after being informed of his illness.
Now, it appears King Charles may not be extending such courtesies anymore, signaling a further decline in relations between Harry and his royal family back in Britain.
