Buckingham Palace Appears to Make Crucial Call on Prince Harry’s Role in Sensitive Royal Issue
Prince Harry recently faced disappointing news from his father, King Charles, as reports suggest he’s been left out of an important update regarding the monarch’s life.
According to *The Mirror*, the Duke of Sussex was not told about King Charles’ recent “brief” hospital visit, which was part of his ongoing cancer treatment. This lack of communication has sparked speculation about the royal family’s dynamics.
Sources say Harry only learned of this surprising development after Buckingham Palace made a public announcement. For those unaware, on March 27, 2025, the Palace issued a statement addressing King Charles’ latest health update and his unexpected hospital stay, which forced the cancellation of his planned royal duties.
A spokesperson for the monarch explained, “Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital. His Majesty’s afternoon engagements were therefore postponed.”
Currently, King Charles is resting at Clarence House, recuperating from these side effects.
It’s worth noting that back in February 2024, Buckingham Palace revealed the King had been diagnosed with cancer, though they did not disclose the specific type. Since then, updates have been limited.
Interestingly, Prince Harry has had minimal contact with his father, reportedly meeting him just once for a brief 30-minute visit last February. This latest exclusion from such a personal matter underscores the ongoing distance between the Duke and the royal family.
