Buckingham Palace Scolded for Leaving Prince Harry in Tears Over King Charles III’s Health
Prince Harry, now living a new life in the U.S. with Meghan Markle, has been dealt a heavy emotional blow as his father, King Charles III, battles ongoing health issues. The latest drama has Buckingham Palace facing sharp criticism for its handling of the situation, with many calling out the Palace for leaving Harry out of the loop.
Royal commentator Ellen Coughlan didn’t hold back during her appearance on GB News, slamming Buckingham Palace for what she called a “bad move” in not informing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex about the King’s recent hospital admission. She believes the decision left Harry “devastated.” Coughlan explained, “I think it was a bad move by the Palace. They claimed they didn’t want to alarm Harry by telling him, but I’m pretty sure he was more alarmed finding out through the media like everyone else.”
She added, “A simple heads-up would have probably eased his mind a bit. But learning about it through the news, alongside the public, must have been even more upsetting for him. I’d imagine he’s absolutely devastated.” Coughlan didn’t stop there—she went on to call the Palace’s decision a sign of “disrespect” toward Harry, highlighting the growing rift between the royal family and the Sussexes.
According to The Sun, Buckingham Palace deliberately chose not to inform Harry about his father’s condition, hoping to avoid causing him unnecessary worry. However, a source close to the situation revealed the toll this has taken on Harry, saying, “He misses his family terribly, but no one is speaking to him anymore. He just wants to go for a beer with the guys, but his only friends now are the husbands of Meghan’s friends.”
Prince Harry, who stepped away from his royal duties in 2020 and relocated to the U.S. with Meghan Markle and their children, is reportedly heartbroken over what feels like being shunned by the royal family. This latest incident only deepens the emotional strain as he navigates his father’s health battle from afar.
