Brown, who has long been a keen observer of Markle’s public life, drew comparisons between Meghan’s current ventures and her earlier days in 2013, during her time as the creator of The Tig blog. Brown expressed:
“She’s back in 2013, doing The Tig again. I think Suits and The Tig were the last time she felt successful. It’s all been hellish ever since.”
For Brown, Meghan’s current ventures seem to echo a past era, suggesting that she has yet to regain the success she once felt while managing her blog and acting career.
Tina Brown Urges Meghan Markle to "Stop" Announcing New Projects
The criticism didn’t stop at just a comparison of past and present; Brown also accused Meghan of compulsively announcing new projects without seeing them through. She remarked:
“Every week she announces a new project. Stop announcing projects! She’s almost compulsive about announcing things, and they don’t really happen. They fade, and she looks ridiculous. I feel sorry for her, because she’s so lost.”
Brown believes Meghan’s constant stream of announcements only adds to the confusion surrounding her public persona and the credibility of her endeavors.
Criticism Extends to Prince Harry’s Involvement in Controversial Decisions
Brown also pointed the finger at Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, claiming that both of them made disastrous decisions driven by their apparent thirst for money. In particular, Brown called out their decision to release a book, suggesting it was a critical misstep:
“The disastrous decision of the book was very hard to return from. I think the Oprah [Winfrey] interview was the most gratuitously stupid move. There wasn’t any money in it.”
