Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Celebrate Major Win in Duke’s Security Case

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have consistently emphasized the importance of privacy and security, particularly when it comes to their children’s safety.

The Duke of Sussex has been locked in a legal battle with the UK Home Office over security arrangements for himself and his family—Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3—while in the UK. Harry recently attended a two-day court hearing in London, which wrapped up on Wednesday, marking a pivotal moment in his fight for protection.

At the same time, the Archewell Foundation, established by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2020 after stepping back from their senior royal roles, released a new statement focusing on child safety and well-being. The organization praised “advocates of the Phone-Free School movement for their efforts in pushing forward laws to create phone-free school zones across the country.”

The statement highlighted progress in states like Colorado, Illinois, New Mexico, and New Jersey, where legislation to enforce phone-free school policies has gained traction. “These laws represent forward-thinking steps to prioritize youth mental health and focus in educational settings,” it noted. “The phone-free school movement pushes for rules that keep personal devices like smartphones out of reach during school hours.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Celebrate Major Win in Duke’s Security Case

As the Sussexes champion their own children’s rights, Prince Harry anxiously awaits the outcome of his security case. He has claimed he’s been subjected to “unfair treatment” since leaving the royal family. His legal team argued in court that the Duke’s safety is on the line, asserting he’s been “unfairly targeted and given substandard protection” compared to others.

With this verdict looming, Harry and Meghan continue to spotlight security and privacy—not just for their family, but for kids everywhere—through their foundation’s advocacy.
