Prince William keeps his distance as Prince Andrew makes bold Easter appearance
Prince William appears to be taking a neutral stance as his estranged uncle, Prince Andrew, stepped back into the royal spotlight during the annual Easter service at St. George’s Chapel.
The Prince of Wales, who did not attend the ceremony alongside his wife, Princess Kate Middleton, instead prioritized quality time with their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — during the holiday weekend.
A royal insider revealed: “William has no time for his uncle. This Easter was about spending time with his own family, but he would far prefer a situation where he doesn’t have to spend time with [Prince Andrew].”
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew’s unexpected presence at the Easter event sparked a wave of public reaction — especially due to his noticeable behavior during the ceremony.
Body language expert Judi James shared her analysis with The Mirror, describing Andrew’s demeanor as unusually confident.
“Prince Andrew’s body language made this look like his debutante’s coming out ball,” Judi explained. “He performed what looked like a royal quick-step to place himself back in the role of second son to the late Queen.”
She added: “Andrew's body language signals were all about a kind of cocky arrogance here. With his jacket undone, he stood front and center, legs splayed in a dominant posture. He even crossed one arm over his stomach and used the other hand to make a stabbing gesture with his index finger while speaking to a rather uneasy-looking Commander Tim.”
This public display adds another layer to the ongoing tension within the royal family, with Prince William continuing to focus on his immediate family rather than engaging with his controversial uncle.
