TV presenter Stephen Dixon didn’t hold back, pointing out that the drama swirling around the Duke of Sussex’s charity, Sentebale, “leaves more questions than answers.” The organization is now under scrutiny as the Charity Commission launches a probe into its operations.
Dixon called it an “extraordinary situation,” highlighting how “the Prince has resigned, the whole board’s resigned.” For Harry’s critics, this chaos is nothing short of “fresh ammunition” to fuel their attacks.
The controversy kicked off when the charity watchdog opened a regulatory compliance case into Sentebale. The tension reached a boiling point after Harry and Prince Seeiso announced they were stepping away from the charity, blaming a “devastating” fallout.
In a statement, they revealed that their relationship with chairwoman Sophie Chandauka—who joined in 2023—had “broken down beyond repair,” making it impossible to carry on. But they weren’t the only ones to walk away. Several trustees also jumped ship, demanding Chandauka’s resignation in the process.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams didn’t mince words on GB News, calling the situation “absolutely disastrous” for Sentebale. “This was one of Prince Harry’s great achievements,” he said, noting it was his first major charitable effort, launched back in 2006 alongside Prince Seeiso.
He went on, “So, in memory of Princess Diana, this is deeply personal to him.” The collapse of this legacy project has hit hard.
Stephen Dixon chimed in again, reflecting on the shock of it all. “It’s remarkable, isn’t it? A lot of people already want to paint Harry in a bad light, and this just hands them fresh ammunition,” he said.
Dixon added fuel to the fire, saying, “It does leave far more questions than answers, with accusations of him being racist—particularly against black women—mixed into all of this.”
