Royal Jeweler Hints at Princess Kate’s Jewelry Choice
In an exclusive with GB News, Tobias Kormind, managing director and co-founder of 77 Diamonds, revealed insights into the jewelry likely to be worn by senior royal women during the upcoming VE Day celebrations, set to take place at the Queen Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace.
“With a wide range of events set to commemorate the anniversary, we can expect significant jewels that reflect both personal sentiment and national pride,” Kormind shared.
Kate Middleton May Choose 18K Gold Shamrock in Honor of Irish Guards
One notable piece expected to be worn by Princess Kate is the 18K gold shamrock brooch, traditionally loaned to royal women associated with the Irish Guards, a regiment for which she has served as Honorary Colonel-in-Chief since 2022.
“It would be a subtle but powerful tribute to those who served and a nod to her military connection,” Kormind explained.
Queen Camilla and Kate May Revisit Queen Elizabeth II’s Wartime Brooches
Another meaningful possibility includes the aquamarine and diamond clip brooches gifted to Queen Elizabeth II by her father, King George VI, in 1944. These historic jewels were famously worn by the late Queen during her televised address on the 75th VE Day anniversary in 2020.
“Their reappearance would serve as a moving familial tribute, underscoring the deep, historic connection between the monarchy and the wartime generation,” the expert added.
Royal Family to Host WWII Survivors at Buckingham Palace Reception
The VE Day program will also include a special tea party reception at Buckingham Palace, welcoming 50 veterans and civilians who lived through World War II. This intimate event will honor their resilience and sacrifice, with the royal family present to express national gratitude.
A Royal Tribute Through Heirlooms and History
As the nation reflects on eight decades since the end of World War II in Europe, the symbolism of jewelry, tradition, and remembrance will be on full display. Whether it’s a gold shamrock brooch or treasured family heirlooms, the royal women’s choices will speak volumes—without saying a word.
