Prince William Reportedly Seeking Legal Advice to Remove Titles
According to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, Prince William is increasingly frustrated with his brother Harry and sister-in-law Meghan. Reports suggest that the Prince of Wales has been in discussions with legal advisors about potentially stripping the couple of their titles: Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“I knew Prince William wanted to strip them of their titles weeks ago,” Schofield revealed.
While no official comment has been made by Kensington Palace, the tension between William and the Sussexes continues to grow—especially in light of recent public disputes and legal challenges by Harry in the UK.
Meghan’s Use of “HRH” Title Sparks Renewed Controversy
Despite the agreement made under the Sandringham Summit—which barred Harry and Meghan from using their "His/Her Royal Highness" styling in public—Meghan recently came under fire for signing a gift note using the “HRH” prefix. The note surfaced more than a year after a similar instance involving a gift basket.
“Meghan’s use of the HRH title is a direct violation of the Sandringham Agreement,” said Schofield. “It’s something they were bitter about from the start.”
William Believes Titles Are Being Exploited
According to Schofield, Prince William is less inclined to be tolerant of Meghan and Harry’s actions, especially compared to King Charles, who has avoided public confrontation on the matter. William reportedly believes the Sussexes are leveraging their royal connections to boost their public image and commercial appeal.
“Prince William does not run from confrontation like his father does,” Schofield stated.“He sees this as exploitation and a threat to the monarchy’s future.”
She also claimed that Meghan in particular fears William’s potential reign, knowing he may not allow the couple to continue using their titles if their actions persist.
Public Sentiment Shifts in Favor of Stripping Titles
The ongoing controversy has led to increasing public support for the removal of Harry and Meghan's royal designations. While the couple still technically retain their HRH titles, they are prohibited from using them commercially or in public appearances under the current arrangement.
