Meghan Markle’s Birthday Boost Turns into Brand Reality Check
Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, recently celebrated her 44th birthday with Prince Harry, but the excitement didn’t last long before some hard truths about her lifestyle brand, As Ever, came to light.
For those who don’t know, Prince Harry announced Meghan’s brand in February 2025 with a stylish Instagram video. Since then, her products — including jam, honey, tea, and wine — have been flying off the shelves within minutes of launch. Fans clearly love them, but not everyone is convinced the brand is on the right track.
Branding expert Jaimie Sarah shared her thoughts, suggesting Meghan should take a more original route, avoiding products that could be seen as competing with other royal-associated brands. She also wasn’t impressed with the brand name “As Ever,” saying it’s not very memorable and might even remind people of the phrase “as if,” which could make them doubt its authenticity.
The logo also raised eyebrows. The palm tree design, Jaimie pointed out, doesn’t really connect with kitchen items like jam and tea — leaving some people wondering what the brand’s true identity is meant to be.
In short: Meghan’s products are selling well for now, but experts believe she needs a clearer, more unique brand identity if she wants long-term success.
