Meghan Markle has just released the second season of her cooking and lifestyle show With Love, Meghan on Netflix, but it hasn't been very well received in the UK. Many Britons criticized it — saying it feels too glamorous or not relatable to them.
However, Prince Harry's old friend, Alex Rayner (who went on an Arctic charity trip with Harry in 2012), has spoken up to defend Meghan. He thinks the British public is being too negative and cynical about her show.
Alex said the show is clearly made more for an American audience, who enjoy more polished, glamorous content. He explained that British viewers prefer simple, traditional styles — joking that they’d rather watch someone like "Mrs. Miggins making marmalade" than a fancy celebrity cooking lifestyle series.
He praised Meghan’s work on the show and also her lifestyle brand As Ever. He thinks Meghan is doing something great and that people are judging her unfairly. He also pointed out that both Harry and King Charles support sustainable living and farm-to-table ideas — and Meghan is doing the same with her show and business.
Alex believes that even though people criticize Harry and Meghan, there's still a lot of interest and support for whatever they do, just like with other royal family members.
