Prince Harry Cleared in Sentebale Investigation — What Really Happened?
Prince Harry has been cleared of any wrongdoing after a months-long investigation into allegations made by Dr. Sophie Chandauka, the chair of the charity Sentebale.
Back in February 2025, Dr. Chandauka accused Prince Harry of “bullying at scale,” sparking a major controversy and an official probe by the UK’s Charity Commission.
Now, four months later, the investigation has ended, and the results are in Prince Harry’s favor — the commission found no evidence that he did anything wrong.
Prince Harry Responds
Harry responded to the ruling by saying the result was “unsurprising.” However, he also said he was deeply unhappy because the situation ended up affecting the vulnerable children the charity was supposed to help.
Dr. Chandauka’s Reaction — Mixed Feelings
After the commission cleared Harry, Dr. Chandauka released a statement of her own. She acknowledged the investigation's findings but didn't exactly back down.
She said the experience was very intense and claimed it tested their strength as a charity. She highlighted that, despite everything, Sentebale still supported over 78,000 children in Lesotho and Botswana this year.
However, she criticized Prince Harry and his co-founder Prince Seeiso for resigning suddenly in March 2025. She said their decision caused “incalculable damage” and hinted that there were “unacceptable behaviors” behind the scenes.
A Reluctant Thank You
Interestingly, even though she had been critical, Dr. Chandauka ended up acknowledging Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso as the founders of Sentebale, and praised their original vision to help children in honor of their late mothers — Princess Diana and Queen 'Mamohato.
She finished her statement with a call to action, encouraging supporters to continue walking with the charity as it recovers and rebuilds.
