Harry & Meghan Announce Netflix Deal Extension Amid Sentebale Drama
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a major announcement just as controversy surrounds Harry’s past charity work.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, originally signed a five-year deal with Netflix. Now, they’ve confirmed that the partnership will continue — with fresh projects already in the pipeline.
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, praised the couple, calling them “influential voices” and noting the positive reception to Meghan’s lifestyle series With Love, Meghan. The streamer is “excited to continue” working with Archewell Productions to bring more entertainment to subscribers.
Earlier this year, Harry stepped down from Sentebale after being accused of “harming” its reputation. His departure marked the end of a long and deeply personal involvement with the charity, which supports vulnerable children in Lesotho and Botswana.
