A new member of the royal family. While the British public is hoping for one thing—that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will soon announce a pregnancy—this doesn't seem to be on the agenda for the young couple, who are still on cloud nine nearly three months after their wedding. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have, however, decided to adopt a dog.
According to the Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently welcomed a Labrador into their home. "The dog has already happily settled into their cottage. Like its owners, it will divide its time between Kensington Palace and their country residence in the Cotswolds," a source told the British website Express. The dog's color, age, and name are not yet known. The British press also doesn't know if the dog was adopted from an animal shelter.
It's no secret that Meghan Markle loves animals, especially dogs, which she shares with the Queen of England. Before joining Prince Harry in Great Britain, two four-legged companions shared her life, but only Guy was able to cross the Atlantic with her. Too old to make the journey, Bogart stayed in Canada. So, Guy, a Beagle abandoned in Kentucky before joining Meghan Markle in Canada, will now share his days with a new playmate.
