Catherine Middleton's off-the-rack wedding dress

Catherine Middleton's off-the-rack wedding dress

Anyone who dreams of wearing the same dress as Kate on their wedding day can rejoice: Her wedding gown is going into production.

After the fairytale wedding of the century, things had to move very quickly. Immediately after Catherine and Prince William said "I do," many busy dressmakers set to work recreating the dream gown of the new "Princess William Wales."

But not everyone can profit from it. The rights to the dress belong to the fashion house "Alexander McQueen." A dress in this price range isn't affordable for everyone, and the couture house can't and doesn't want to handle the kind of mass-market demand.

The brand "A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz," known for its many red-carpet replicas, will soon offer a solution. They will officially sell an almost identical dress off the rack. Price: Between $500 and $800 (approximately €338 to €540).

Just 12 hours after the wedding, the strikingly similar wedding dress was finished. Thirty-five people worked together to bring the dream in white to life as quickly as possible, from the design to the finished product.

Starting in July, the twin outfit will be available at the American chain "Lord & Taylor." Don't worry, the fashion store also has an online shop.

But for those who would rather walk down the aisle like Catherine's sister, Pippa Middleton, "A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz" can also make their dreams come true. The brand will also be producing a replica of her bridesmaid dress with the waterfall neckline (by Alexander McQueen).
