We all knew that even the rich cry, but sometimes we wondered if they could cook. In the case of Meghan Markle—or Meghan Sussex—the American actress and wife of Prince Harry, it seems that the art of cooking isn't too bad for her, or at least that she handles it with ease.
For better or for worse, everything she does seems to be worthy of close scrutiny. An obvious exposure, one she was already accustomed to during her film and television career, but whose spotlights became infinitely brighter when her relationship with Prince Harry was confirmed, culminating in their marriage in 2018.
While stories tend to attract more attention from gossip magazines and sensationalist media, the reality of Meghan Markle that concerns us today is a different kind of juicy gossip, much more enjoyable: that of the kitchen.
The Californian demonstrated this in one of the latest episodes of the family series she stars in on Netflix, known as With Love, Meghan, in which she got down to work making a simple, home-cooked pasta recipe that only required one pot.
In this case, we also see how a fairly common method in the United States for cooking pasta is what Markle uses as the basis for the recipe: pre-sautéing the spaghetti.
The recipe in question is simply pasta with tomatoes, garlic, kale, arugula, and Parmesan cheese. As you'd see on the show, it's not rocket science. Start by halving the cherry tomatoes and sautéing them in a large pan with a little olive oil, garlic, and salt. Once they're slightly cooked, add the uncooked spaghetti and hot water, letting everything cook for about six minutes.
After that time, add the lightly chopped kale and arugula and let it all cook for several more minutes. Then top the pan with grated Parmesan cheese and a touch of chili flakes for a bit of spice, leaving the pasta al dente.
