Prince William: How long has he been losing his hair?

When did Prince William begin to lose his hair significantly before finding himself, in 2017, at age 35, with an almost completely bald head? This is a matter of national importance!

On September 19, 2017, Prince William playfully addressed the rapidly progressing baldness that had plagued him for several years. This hair problem had also earned the Prince a lighthearted joke in 2014 from his wife, Kate Middleton. During a visit to an Australian agricultural show, the Duchess jokingly encouraged her husband to replenish his hair with alpaca wool.

William's baldness hasn't always been a source of amusement for him; he was once rather cruelly nicknamed "Hairless Heir." At just 35, the young Duke of Cambridge has lost his once-charming blond locks, a clear legacy from Diana, and is now balder than his father, Charles, 68! Even his grandfather, Prince Philip, now retired at 96, sports a fuller head of hair.

Prince William: How long has he been losing his hair?

William has long battled baldness, which began to become a concern in 2006. At that time, the prince already showed a very pronounced receding hairline at the back of his head and tried expensive hair treatments, all of which stubbornly failed. Since January 2016, what William once considered a (minor) misfortune has now become a perfectly accepted flaw.
