Meghan Markle's wedding dress will be significantly different from Kate Middleton - it will be classic and concise
Although the news of Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle's engagement was announced just a few days ago, speculation has already begun about what the royal family member's chosen one will look like on her wedding day.
To make these speculations seem at least somewhat reasonable, we can recall what Ms. Markle herself has said about wedding dresses: it turns out that she has indeed mentioned what kind of outfit she would dream of wearing on the most important day of her life, writes the Daily Mail.
Back when no one knew about the budding friendship between Ms. Markle and the representative of the British royal family, this American actress explained quite precisely in an interview what she thought the ideal wedding dress should look like. She then mentioned that she would choose a classic and laconic option, and as an example, she gave the dress worn by Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy at her wedding.
The classic dress that John F. Kennedy Jr.'s chosen one chose for her wedding is a creation by American designer Narciso Rodriguez. By the way, when C. Bessette-Kennedy decided to trust his ingenuity, the designer was relatively unknown. The 36-year-old screen star has also said that the wedding dress worn by her character Rachel Zane from the TV series "Suits" was definitely not to her taste. Commenting on it, Ms. Markle stated that she prefers a less binding, more relaxed style.
From what Ms. Markle has ever said about wedding dresses, it can be concluded that her chosen outfit will be quite different from the bridal ensemble worn by the Duchess of Cambridge at her wedding.
Sharing her thoughts on wedding dresses with Glamour, Markle said: "Classic and simple - that's the whole secret. Some modern accents would be nice too. I prefer wedding dresses that are at least a little unconventional or subtly romantic." Explaining why she wouldn't choose something similar to the designs created by Anne Barge, one of which her character wore in the series, Markle said: "That dress doesn't reflect my personal style, because I'm more relaxed than Rachel, but I'm really glad I got to wear it for the role."
Returning to Prince Harry's future wife, it's worth remembering that she once mentioned several wedding dress designers who impressed her, including French designer Delphine Manivet and Greek-based Christos Costarellos. She also admitted that she is a fan of the fashion designer Elie Saab and the brand "J. Mendel", so it is possible that they will be entrusted with the task of creating an outfit suitable for the solemn occasion.
Among the possible creators of Ms. Markle's wedding dress are such designers as Antonio Berardi, Jenny Packham, as well as the fashion house "Erdem". Judging by what was said in an interview with the publication "Glamour", Ms. Markle would not want her future husband Prince Harry to see the bride's dress before the wedding planned for the spring at Windsor Castle. Although she hinted that she is very superstitious, she assured that she would do so not because she is afraid of a possible disaster, but simply out of a desire to obey tradition.
