According to reports, Sarah Ferguson left the Prince and Princess of Wales “horrified” after making controversial claims last year, shortly before her name appeared in the Epstein documents.
The commentator explained that Sarah’s remarks have sparked “significant irritation” for William and Catherine. Ferguson had suggested that she continued receiving “guidance” from the late Queen Elizabeth regarding her exclusion from royal life, claiming she communicated with the monarch’s “spirit,” which she believes resides in two of Queen Elizabeth’s cherished corgis.
Royal expert Tom Sykes stated that these comments have deeply unsettled the couple. In his latest blog post, Sykes noted that William, Catherine, and those close to the late Queen—such as her longtime friend and dresser Angela Kelly—found Sarah’s assertions odd and in poor taste. They reportedly saw it as an inaccurate attempt to imply a spiritual closeness to the late monarch.
He further explained that the Waleses were also unimpressed by Ferguson’s suggestion that the Queen had “left” the dogs to her in her will. In reality, the corgis were simply returned to Sarah and Prince Andrew, who had originally gifted the pets to the Queen in 2021 without consulting other family members.
Sources also told Sykes that opinion inside the palace is divided. “Some think it’s harmless,” the insider said, “while others believe she has lost touch with reality. But William and Kate, specifically, are said to be appalled by the entire story.”
