Meghan Markle seduces Beverly Hill in a tight, strapless Ralph Lauren dress. King Charles would never have allowed her to wear it.
Meghan Markle left everyone breathless wearing a magnificent navy blue Ralph Lauren dress that she would never have been allowed to wear to the Palace. Even King Charles, who usually doesn't interfere with the dress code for women in the Royal Family, wouldn't have found it appropriate. But those days are over for the Duchess of Sussex, and she can now decide on her own look.
Meghan Markle, the strapless Ralph Lauren dress
Meghan Markle attended an Alliance for Children's Rights event in Beverly Hills on Thursday, March 19, along with her dear friend Kelly McKee Zafjen. The Duchess of Sussex was alone; her husband, Prince Harry, did not accompany her.
But Meg doesn't seem to be in trouble; on the contrary, she didn't have to control him or "maneuver" him for the cameras and lenses, as gossips claim, so much so that Harry called in his lawyer to silence them.
Lady Markle thus stole the show and was photographed extensively with her great friend Kelly McKee Zafjen, who is expecting a baby.
On the other hand, the Duchess of Sussex looked her best in a magnificent navy blue Ralph Lauren dress. The strapless design, with its clean lines, exposes part of her décolleté and back, and clings perfectly to the figure, slimming it. It also features a deep slit in the back, necessary for movement, which reveals part of Meg's legs and sculpted, muscular calves.
Meghan fits this minimalist dress like a glove, seemingly tailor-made for her. Indeed, she is extremely elegant.
King Charles, the dress that would have banned Meghan Markle
Despite the fact that it's not sheer or low-cut, Meghan would never have been allowed to wear such a dress to the Palace. Protocol rarely allows women of the Royal Family to show bare shoulders, but she certainly would have deemed a tight, strapless, and slit-covered dress too risky.
On the other hand, when Meghan still worked for the Queen, she was criticized for wearing an off-the-shoulder dress while pregnant. And it's said that on another occasion, she had a fierce argument with Harry, who forbade her from wearing trousers at a gala event because they were deemed inappropriate by the Court dress code.
But now that she's no longer dependent on King Charles, she can freely choose how she dresses. And any criticisms about etiquette are no longer valid and are specious.
Indeed, when Meghan dresses like a Hollywood diva, she usually achieves the desired wow factor, as was the case with the look she sported at the Alliance for Children's Rights event.
Lady Markle completed her outfit with a pair of killer heeled sandals and gold Chanel stud earrings, accentuated by her hair pulled back in her iconic messy bun.
