King Charles’ Personality in the Spotlight Amid Prince Harry Message Controversy
King Charles, widely recognized for his warm and engaging manner during royal duties, has made headlines once again, this time amid controversy surrounding messages from Prince Harry.
Welsh broadcaster Carol Vorderman praised the 77-year-old monarch for his “charming” and “lovely” demeanor, admitting she has never felt nervous in his presence.
Vorderman has met King Charles several times through her long-standing involvement with the King’s Trust—formerly the Prince’s Trust—dating back more than three decades.
Speaking highly of the king, she highlighted his dedication to a wide range of causes and the personal attention he gives to people he meets.
“I’m pretty sure I’ve been an ambassador for the Trust since the ’90s, so I’ve met the King and the Queen many times over the years. He’s always approachable and easy to talk to,” Vorderman told Woman & Home.
She even recalled a lighthearted moment: “I once got him to do the ‘Mobot’ on stage!”
Vorderman continued, emphasizing that regardless of political opinions about the monarchy, King Charles consistently shows up for the Trust and commits fully to its work.
“He stands up for what he believes in,” she said. “He spoke about environmental issues decades ago when many mocked him, but now his foresight has been proven right. The Trust really stands out as one of his proudest achievements—possibly his greatest.”
This spotlight on King Charles’ character comes amid resurfacing controversy over Prince Harry’s allegedly flirtatious Facebook messages with journalist Charlotte Griffiths from 2011–2012. The texts have re-emerged during Harry’s privacy trial against Associated Newspapers, reportedly contradicting parts of his previous testimony.
