The Princess of Wales sports a spectacular mane, longer than ever before.
Kate Middleton has created the first trend you'll want to copy if you have long hair. She did so a few days ago in a photo released to coincide with her 43rd birthday, which generated much discussion. The Princess of Wales appeared posing for the camera, leaning against a wall with her hands in her pockets, wearing a dark blazer, white shirt, and jeans, along with a plaid scarf. But attention was also focused on her beauty look, specifically her hair. Prince William's wife not only has longer hair than ever before, but she's also styled it in very royal waves, full of shine.
A trendsetting haircut
It could be said that Kate has debuted one of the hairstyles that will be trending in 2025, and it can serve as inspiration if you have hair as long as hers. "It's going to be the year of long hair, past the chest. Whether layered, all one length, with or without bangs, straight or wavy... it all depends on your hair's texture," says María Baras, creative director of Cheska, who is certain this look will be a hit. "It's the return of long, super-feminine hair. We've already seen very long hair on international runways, and I think Kate Middleton has embraced this trend by letting hers grow even longer."
After causing a sensation with her haircut on her special birthday, the Princess reappeared showing off her super-long hair last Tuesday, January 14th. She did so during a moving visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she received cancer treatment.
Her last looks of the year
Before the end of 2024, Kate was already sporting very long hair. Furthermore, since resuming her official duties, we've seen her looking radiant and beautiful, with highlights in lighter shades than her natural color that suit her very well. It's a foolproof trick not only for rejuvenating her image but also for adding luminosity to her hair, which always looks very healthy and with that glossy finish she loves so much.
A noticeable change
If we analyze the looks Kate has worn throughout all these years, there's no doubt that she's always followed the same style. "Now she has a more polished and shinier mane," says stylist Maria Roberts, founder of Studio25 and Madart. "She usually wears more defined waves and a side part, which creates a very elegant effect," she says.

We also can't forget the times Kate has experimented with her hair color. Although she prefers her natural hair, there have been occasions when she has surprised us by changing to lighter or darker shades. October 2019 was perhaps the time she was blondest, with a very subtle caramel color that softened her features. In December 2023, the opposite happened: she sported a very dark brown mane that contrasted with her skin.

Speaking of changes, the Princess has also sometimes opted for bangs. She started in 2015 and, since then, has worn them on a few occasions. The last time was in October 2023 when she took her beauty evolution a step further and dared to wear a wispy, curtain-style fringe that was quite open.
